Battle for Wesnoth is now available on the Itch.io store for Windows and macOS! For the standalone downloads, visit Wesnoth's page on the itch.io site, otherwise Wesnoth can also be downloaded via the Itch app.Importantly as well, Itch.io does allow anyone who downloads Wesnoth to donate money if they choose. Any money donated through Itch.io is used to pay for things such as server rent and art commissions, the same as donations made through Liberapay, and is very much appreciated. That said, this is entirely optional - Wesnoth is freely available on Itch.io just as it is when downloaded from Steam, the macOS app store, or any other official distribution channel for a desktop platform.
NOTE: A Linux version may or may not be available at a later date due to some inherent difficulties with packaging a game like Wesnoth for digital storefronts on Linux.
