Illarion: Update August 2020

Dear Illarionites,
Today, we present to you the latest update of game content with a strong focus on gathering.

  • The gathering speed calculation has been changed to use the same principles as crafting.
  • Glyph effects have been removed from gathering. Additional glyph effects will be introduced at a later stage.
  • Crafting quality calculation has been changed to a binomial distribution (thanks to Korwin).
  • Items that break are now shown as broken instead of disappearing.
  • Abuseable methods to strip gems from items have been removed.
  • Wear on tools has been reduced.
  • The chance to find pure elements during gathering has been increased.
  • Magic gems and glyph shards are not found by gathering anymore.
  • Constitution now plays a major role in calculating chances to find special items while gathering.
  • Glyph shards are now mainly found at special, magical locations across the map.
  • Silk can be found where swarms of butterflies are.
  • Various spelling issues were resolved by your input.
